This lovely illustration was created by Vivien Helders, a member of our illustration team. With our new magazine arriving soon, our vision is to offer a platform to a variety of artists, who can then be interpreted by fellow writers, poets, illustrators and others. Either a written piece can be accompanied by an interpretive illustration or vice versa; that's what we're displaying in this post. Two of our editors (who're also passionate writers) have taken up some free time to come up with their own short but sweet, poetic interpretations.

"Safe haven" by Darren Kus Holding my balance, For my gentle inner peace, A place of my own. "Dancer in white" by JD Grant In her white uniform, she glides across the floor. In her white uniform, she creates any shape she wants.

In her white uniform,

She is a character.

In her white uniform,

she feels like she is flying.
